Parks and Open Space
Parks and green space are a vital component to a livable neighborhood. Through our work with ioby and Innovate Memphis, we have had the opportunity to test out new processes for planning and making park improvements, from small-scale tactical projects to master planning for neighborhood parks.
A Citizen's Guide to Improving Your Park
Livable Memphis, in partnership with the City of Memphis Division of Parks and Neighborhoods, has developed this in-depth guide to how you can engage in making your neighborhood park better. From planting flowers, to constructing furnishings and even developing a plan for your park's future, this guide will help residents navigate the process, organizations, and options for improving neighborhood parks across the city. Memphis Parks Advocacy
Livable Memphis has been working alongside other parks advocates, conservancies, and engaged residents from around the city in developing a city-wide organization to advocate for more investment and better planning for our city's treasured public open spaces.
